Introduction
The Parent Teacher Association is a key part of the Atherton International School. The role of the PTA is to support the school in many different ways that enhance the cultural and educational life of the school, benefit the children and also contribute to the life of the overseas family community. - All parents are automatically members of the PTA and are invited to participate at the regular
meetings held within the school premises.
AIS PTA Board
The AIS PTA as an organisation needs a Board to be able to channel information and make decisions.
The Board consists of members with a designated role and general members.
We have a President, a Vice-President, a Secretary and a Treasurer, also members who take a leading role in the PTA sub-groups. All are PARENT VOLUNTEERS.
The members of the Board hold regular meetings with the school to plan ahead, evaluate and discuss topics that parents are talking about. They also discuss these issues, and any outcomes or decisions, with the rest of the members in the General PTA Meetings.
In the first General PTA Meeting of the school year the Board positions are open for new members and all attending this meeting agree with the choice of the Board members.

School Lunch Volunteers
The school welcomes help from parent volunteers at lunch time to assist the teachers on duty to supervise and help the children in the cafeteria.
School Photos
The aim of this group is to prepare forms, collect orders, help children on the day of picture taking and distribute pictures afterwards. This is usually held in November every year.
