Introduction To PSHE and Wellness

Personal, Social, and Health Education (PSHE) promotes students’ personal, social, and emotional development, and also focuses on their
health and general well-being.  In accordance with our mission statement, PSHE aids students to become confident, global citizens by giving them the knowledge and skills required to lead a healthy, positive, and independent life.  The aim of the program is to help students understand and accept responsibility for their own personal and social development.

Aims

At ISK, the aims of PSHE are to enable children to:

  • Understand characteristics of good relationships with others
  • Be internationally minded and respect both similarities with and differences between each other
  • Realize their own self-worth and make sensible decisions in social and personal situations
  • Instill the values of the Personal Goals (Adaptability, Communication, Cooperation, Enquiry, Morality, Respect,
    Resilience, Thoughtfulness)
