Ms. Trisha Curling

Early Years Teacher

Ms. Trisha is an experienced Canadian educator with over 15 years of teaching experience across Early Years, Primary, and Middle School education. She holds a Bachelor of Education with a Visual Arts major and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours), alongside additional professional qualifications in Primary Education and Kindergarten.

Throughout her career, Ms. Trisha has taught in both Canadian and international schools, including several years as a Kindergarten teacher. She believes that young children learn best in nurturing, inclusive, and play-based environments where they feel valued, confident, and excited to explore. Her approach supports the development of the whole child academically, socially, emotionally, creatively, and physically.

Drawing on her background in visual arts, yoga, mindfulness, and physical education, Ms. Trisha naturally brings creativity and wellbeing into her classroom. She values inquiry-based learning and gives children meaningful opportunities to explore, express themselves, and become active participants in their own learning

Ms. Taeyoung Bae

Teaching Assidtant

Ms. Taeyoung is a dedicated Teaching Assistant from Daegu, South Korea, with an academic background in Early Years Education and English Literature. Before joining Atherton International School, she worked in a Korean kindergarten, developing a strong understanding of young children’s learning and development.

At AIS, Ms. Taeyoung provides individual and small-group support, helping children develop academically, socially, and emotionally. She particularly enjoys encouraging students as they build confidence, independence, and positive learning habits, while helping to create a caring environment where children feel valued and supported.

Creativity is important to Ms. Taeyoung both personally and in her work with students, and she enjoys finding opportunities to encourage children’s curiosity and imagination. Outside school, she particularly enjoys spending time in nature and finds that walking outdoors inspires her own creativity and sense of wellbeing.
