Our Curriculum
A Holistic International Education For Global Learners
Early Years
Age 2 to 5
Learning in the Early Years at AIS is play-based and child-centred, following the Early Years Foundation Stage of the English National Curriculum. Through hands-on exploration, children build confidence, creativity, and social skills as they begin to read, write, and explore the world around them.
Middle School
Age 12 to 15
Students in the Middle Years continue to follow the English National Curriculum, building subject depth and independence as they prepare for IGCSE study. Pearson Maths Progress International and Exploring Science International provide strong academic structure, while lessons in English develop analytical, written, and communication skills. Leadership is fostered through the William Pike Challenge Award.
Primary
Age 5 to 11
The Primary Years follow the English National Curriculum, providing a balanced education across English, mathematics, science, and the humanities. Using the White Rose and Pearson schemes, lessons promote curiosity, mastery, and problem-solving. Specialist lessons in art, music, physical education, and Korean Studies enrich learning and creativity.
High School
Age 15 to 18
Students in the Higher Years pursue Cambridge International IGCSE and A Level courses using Cambridge-endorsed textbooks across all core subjects. The Cambridge curriculum is recognised globally for its rigour and academic excellence, preparing students for success at leading universities worldwide. Leadership and service learning continue through the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award.
