Earthquake Proof Structures

Primary Students from Atherton International School Create the Best Engineering Projects!

Lion class put their thinking caps on to try and figure out the best way to build a earthquake proof building. Using straws and tape, they have worked in teams over the past few weeks to try and create the strongest buildings that could withstand a one minute earthquake.

By figuring out which shapes were strongest, and the best way to connect their straws, the lions were able to make some super structures. Congratulations to the white team for creating the strongest structure that withstood the whole minute earthquake!
